What is the difference between therapy and coaching?

Therapy is a licensed mental health service that may involve diagnosing and treating trauma, anxiety, depression, or other mental health conditions. Therapy at Balanced Blue uses modalities such as EMDR, Internal Family Systems, Sand Tray Therapy, and Relational Life Therapy.

Coaching is future-oriented and does not diagnose or treat mental health disorders. Coaching focuses on personal growth, identity shifts, values clarification, and relational development. It is collaborative and goal-focused.
