Hi, I’m Jannalee

I work with individuals and couples who are seeking meaningful growth, healing from past trauma, navigating faith transitions or improving relationship dynamics.  I support clients in their journey to rebuild trust in themselves, deepen their relationships, and practice honest connection and growth.

Reconnect with Yourself.
Heal What Hurts.
Create Something New.

You’ve carried a lot: through faith shifts, relationship strain, perfectionism, and pain that runs deeper than most people see. At Balanced Blue, I work with individuals and couples navigating religious trauma, disconnection, and the quiet exhaustion of holding it all together. Using experiential methods, therapy here is both deep and grounded. This is your opportunity to slow down, make sense of what’s underneath, and begin creating real, lasting change.

Work With Me

Faith & Spiritual Transitions

Support for those navigating faith shifts, mixed-belief relationships, and questioning what you believe.

Relational Healing & Connection

Explore the patterns beneath disconnection and rebuild relationships with more honesty, balance, and self-trust.

Trauma Recovery & Identity Repair

Heal emotional, childhood, or religious trauma and reconnect with your sense of self using IFS, EMDR, and Sand Tray.

EFT is an attachment-based approach that helps couples recognize and shift patterns of disconnection. By focusing on the emotions underneath conflict, EFT builds safety, empathy, and closeness—helping partners feel more secure and connected to each other.

Experiencing EMDR is like gently rewiring the brain, as it helps process traumatic memories while staying connected to yourself in the present. During sessions, your brain will process memories so they feel less upsetting over time. EMDR reduces the emotional charge of traumatic experiences while strengthening positive beliefs and self-acceptance.

RLT, developed by Terry Real, is a powerful approach that does not shy away from addressing hierarchy, and cultural influences on relationships. It blends deep compassion with direct, truth-telling to help couples break out of destructive patterns. RLT includes teaching important relational skills as well as creating the necessary insight to foster a desire for growth.

IFS views the mind as made up of different “parts,” including protective parts and wounded inner child parts. IFS helps clients understand these parts with compassion, providing healing and integration of the whole system. All our parts deserve our acceptance and love.

Sand Tray Therapy uses symbols, figures, and the creative process of arranging scenes in sand to explore internal experiences. This powerful, experiential approach allows clients to express what words often cannot capture. It’s especially helpful for trauma, grief, or early childhood experiences that may be difficult to articulate. Sand Tray can provide valuable insight, and frequently enable big shifts in a short amount of time.

Psychodrama uses guided role-play and enactment to help clients explore problems, relationships, and internal conflicts. Acting out situations in a safe environment can help clients gain new insights, and rehearse new ways to engage.
